Our Dogs
The dogs behind every RockSteady litter
Our program is small by design. Every dog here is health-tested, proven in the show ring, and — first and foremost — a beloved member of our household.

Elliott came to us in December 2024 from Sylvain Cuvillier and Gauthier LeQuian, who live in Croix, France, near the Belgian border. We waited patiently for nearly five years to welcome him. Born under the sign of the Dragon, he is named for Elliott, the friendly dragon in the 1976 film “Pete’s Dragon.”
In just two years he earned his Championship and Grand Championship remarkably quickly, along with Best In Specialty Show from his win at the Bay Colony Tibetan Terrier Club in Wrentham, Massachusetts. At home he’s a sweet, playful, gentle soul who lives to hike off-leash with the pack.

Our foundation

Fable is the heart of our home and the foundation of our program — health-tested, CHIC certified, and a devoted, attentive mother. She’s a tireless athlete and a gifted huntress, tracking with the nose of a bloodhound, yet at home she has the sweet, gentle nature of a lamb, and that easy temperament shows up in every puppy she raises.
She gifted us with her first litter in June of 2025, which included our own Toots, who decided to stay. The bond between them has only grown deeper.

Our future

Our Toots is Fable’s daughter from RockSteady One, our very first litter — and from day one she shadowed her mother everywhere she went. The bond between them was too special to part with, so she stayed.
She inherited Fable’s gentle, easygoing nature and athletic drive, with a dash of mischief all her own. Never far from the center of things, she’s a happy, constant presence in our home, and especially bonded to her brother Elliott.
Our rising star
Desmond is fast becoming the little star of our breeding program. Earning his championship at just nine months old, he’s already made us so very proud — and he’s only getting started.
These days, Prince Desmond resides high upon Mount Malishar with my friends and breed mentors, Ron and Margy Pankiewicz. Few people know and understand our breed’s history as deeply as they do. For fifty years they have devoted their lives to the preservation of the breed, and their kennel prefix, Malishar, is behind many of the Tibetan Terriers we see today. I owe them for their friendship, their patience, and Margy’s one-of-a-kind “midwoofery” skills. I may never catch up to their expertise, but I sure am going to try.

The rest of the pack
Family, first and always
Folly was the third Tibetan Terrier to find her place in our family, and she is Turtle’s daughter through and through. Born into the loving Cooper home in Minneapolis, she came to us in D.C. at ten weeks old and settled straight into our hearts.
She’s our little diva — bright, spirited, and utterly herself. A natural at showing, she earned three majors toward her championship at a very young age. But what I treasure most is her sweetness: she’s my cuddly girl, forever close by, watching me with those eager, devoted eyes. She lives to please, and our time together in training is when she shines brightest of all.

My sweet little caramel boy. I’ll be forever grateful to Turtle for introducing me to the world of dog shows — he was always my eager, good-natured partner. I’m not sure he ever truly loved the ring, but he knew how much I did, and that was enough for him to be happy right there beside me.
He’s a smart, intuitive soul who loves very deeply — born under the sign of Cancer, and every bit of it. Turtle has sired three litters and earned his ROM title, with five of his puppies going on to become AKC champions in their own right. He’s retired now and perfectly content, whether he’s keeping me company on a hike or curled up next to me on the couch.

Cookie and McRae — two of the best friends I could ever have asked for.
In loving memory
Cookie was my very first Tibetan Terrier, and the one who started it all. When she came into my life in 2012, a whole new world — and a whole community — opened up alongside her.
She led me to the breed I love, to dear friends, and in time to this little program that carries her paw prints in its very foundation. Five years on I welcomed her brother Turtle, and our family grew from there. She is loved beyond measure and missed every single day.

Sister Dragon.
